1925: struggle, adventure, joy, and camaraderie
“The sea! For each of us, it means something different: a constant battle of mind and body against the elements; a quest for adventure; a longing for solitude; or a river to cross into a dreamland. But all of it blends into the shared joy of being aboard, forging a deep camaraderie.”

The Sea: A Source of Adventure, Freedom, and Camaraderie

In 2025, freedom comes with challenge
2025 our connection to the sea is deeply personal. Yet, we all share similar feelings on many points.
We agree: the sea can be a demanding kind of freedom.
It teaches, challenges, and empowers.
“I feel vulnerable and at the same time so grateful for this invigorating space of freedom!” one of us said.
As researcher Brené Brown puts it: “our freedom lies in our vulnerability.” But walking the talk takes courage.
What draws us to the sea is also the beauty and power of the natural elements, the light, the water, the wind. It’s a space where human footprints fade, even though the degradation of marine environments is very real, and this beauty is increasingly fragile under the impact of human activity.
